BC Basic Security Training (BST)
Every officer holds a valid BST certificate and a BC Security Worker Licence before their first shift. No exceptions.
De-escalation & conflict resolution
Annual training in non-violent crisis intervention. Quarterly scenario refreshers covering sector-specific edge cases.
Site-specific orientation
Every new posting starts with a site walk and a written post order signed off by both client and supervisor. Officers cannot start a shift without it.
Reporting & documentation
Officers are trained on our digital reporting system before solo shifts. Sample shift and incident reports are reviewed during their first week.
First aid & emergency response
OFA Level 1 minimum on every shift. Senior officers carry OFA Level 2 for construction sites. AED-trained officers on commercial postings.
